Making a Purchase

When confirmation of an order is received, this is to indicate that we have received your order. It does not indicate that a contract exists between us. We will indicate acceptance of your order, and hence a contract between us, when we send you an invoice. We have included this term to protect us in the case that a mistake has been made in pricing, we have inadvertently under-priced goods, or we are no longer able to supply a particular product for some reason. We may supply a suitable alternative which may have a colour variation or design variation, but will have the same function.

We accept all major credit and debit cards as well as cheques and postal orders. We also accept online payment by way of Pay Pal, (www.paypal.co.uk). Please note Pay Pal is now also a partner of Sage Pay, ensuring full PCI DSS compliance.

We want to assure you that your Internet transaction is completely safe and secure. As we use Sage Pay to process credit and debit card details, we never actually see your credit card number.
1. The software used has built in 128bit encryption method, which is not decrypted until downloaded into the catalog from the website.

3. Sage Pay, who are responsible for all credit card transactions, use sophisticated secure methods.

Shipping and Handling

We have a policy of free shipping within the UK. We use either a courier company or Royal Mail. We will always require a signature on delivery.
 We do aim to keep to all our promised delivery times, however we do need to rely on a third party to make delivery, as such we accept no responsibility to deliveries made later than guaranteed.
We ensure your new purchases are packaged carefully and well. Every item is checked prior to despatch.

Delivery Schedule

Your order will always be handled within 24 hours.
We aim to deliver within 5 working days. Should there be any problem we will contact you as soon as possible and rectify any eventuality as soon as possible. We will send to the address you have given us as the delivery address. We may opt to send only to the invoice address.
Please note if you would like us to set ski bindings up for you we will need some details from you by email. If you don't contact us we will proceed without setting the BINDINGS up. When we do fit bindings for you we don't charge for the service. (We don't fit to any bindings that need to be drilled out.) ***PLEASE NOTE IT IS ALWAYS THE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE USER TO ENSURE THE BINDINGS ARE SET PROPERLY WITH THE DIN ADJUSTED TO THE CORRECT LEVEL***

Returns Policy

If you don't like what we send you it can be returned. ***With the exception of any item that requires construction prior to despatch. (For instance skis with bindings attached by us to your requirments)***
Return it to us UNUSED within 14 days of purchase and we will be happy to give you the option of replacing the item for you or refunding you in full, excluding any postage costs. We do not refund postal costs. (If it's free postage... it's free postage!
When you return the item to us, please ensure that the product is in its original packaging and that the manufacturers' tags are still attached. You will need to cover your own costs for returning the item and it is advisable to send returns by recorded delivery as we cannot be held responsible for items that go missing in the post. If you require a replacement item please email us with your details and your wishes.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO REMEMBER THAT WE CAN ONLY ACCEPT RETURNED GOODS IF THEY ARE IN A MERCHANDISABLE CONDITION. ANY ARTICLE OF CLOTHING OR PIECE OF EQUIPMENT THAT HAS OBVIOUSLY BEEN USED WILL BE REGARDED AS SECONDHAND AND CANNOT BE RETURNED.
If you discover an item to be faulty then please email us as soon as possible. We will either arrange a replacement, refund you, send a suitable alternative or issue a credit note at our discretion.
We want you to be happy! Any item that you return to us will be dealt with promptly. You need to assist us though! We deal with a large volume of orders each and every day. Please give us as much detail as you can in any correspondence. Quote your order **number** , name and address and give us a brief outline of why any item is being returned.

For orders made from the UK or the European Union,  20% VAT is included in the price.  We do not currently post outwith the EU.

The Sports Emporium do not disclose buyers' information to third parties other than when order details are processed as part of the order fulfilment. In this case, the third party will not disclose any of the details to any other third party.
